This is a
week of soul searching and personal power. It is a week of rich
nectar from dark fruits. As we inch our way toward the spring it is
a good time for new explorations and internal searches!
Aries
Dissatisfaction
is not a comfortable state. It is not supposed to be. It exists as
a motivation to growth, to healing, to stretching so that we may
become more than we are. Avoid the desire to run away, or give up.
This is a time to dig in and do the hard labor that will bring
benefits in the long run. For you Aries this is nothing short of a
challenge to establish yourself in the world and to own your own
personal power. Stick to it. In short, this is your task: to open
your heart to a deep almost spiritual resolve and follow it to a new
horizon, one drop of sweat at a time!
Taurus
The state of
romance may be challenging at the moment Taurus. In part this is
because of new ways you have come to understand yourself, and not being quite sure how it relates to the way you are used to behaving in
love relationships, or courtship in general. This is not a time to
do it by rote, but a time to dig in, pay attention and rewrite your
own book of love. Take time with those who are spiritually your
closest family to find new ways of understanding your own relational
habits, and find new ways of doing it. The benefit will take time,
but you will be amazed at how much it will transform your
relationships!
Gemini
Gemini, it
may feel like you are stuck in a frustrating emotional disconnect.
This is really just a symptom of deep, profound, spiritual longing.
You stand in the uncomfortable place where identity, ethics,
spirituality and your conception of the rules meet. Your current
challenge is nothing less than to confront your assumptions of the
way your world should be. You must challenge the way your life,
ethical identity and sense of spiritual connectedness inter-relate to
one another as an integrated system. You are being called upon to
rewrite, first, your own rules, and then, start setting expectations
for the world around you. These, of course, should be based on your newly discovered way of being. It is
important to begin with the desire to question absolutely everything
that you can put into words, and to hold on tenaciously to everything
that rings strongly in your heart.
Cancer
In classical
astrology Cancer is considered to be conservative. Why is this?
Because Cancer is the mother sign, and thus she values things that
make for a good world for children. Cancer longs for physical
comfort, and predictability, not because the Cancererian values are
material, but in fact quite the opposite. Coin buys bread, bread
feeds family. Houses shelter children, and the the elderly, and all
those who need it most. Cancer's is a story of the responsibilities
between humans. This is not in the Aquarian “big picture” way,
but in a way that is very much on the ground floor, very personal.
Cancer is about family and emotional responsibility. It is in
moments such as this that what makes a Cancerian distinctly Cancerian
may be seen most deeply. This is a moment in which all the gold in
the world may not be enough. This is a moment in which the
conservative notions of Cancer draw them deeply into what appears to
be uncharacteristically insurrectionist desires. This is the moment
when mother wolf begins to snarl, and demand change! Do not discount
these feelings Cancer! The moodiness and dissatisfaction you feel
right now is in some ways your “raison d'etre.” It is your
moment to rear up and be radical in the name of all that is
responsible and in a very old sense, conservative.
Leo
Nothing in
the world would feel quite as nice as turning tables, cutting corners
and just making anything more direct than it seems to want to be
right now. I am not advising you to completely resist this impulse,
but I do want you to try very hard to take the feelings of others
into account. This is a moment when it could be very easy to step on
toes. These toes may be owned by people that it will benefit you in
the future to be at least on good working terms with. Be very
careful about your temper. That said, it is a good time to reorder
the physical nature of your reality. Take a deep look at your job
and finances, and make some very deep changes.
Virgo
It may be hard
to balance your emotions this week. Dealing with groups of people,
especially ones you don't know well may be especially tricky
this week. In addition, there may be an overwhelming urge to take
off, maybe a quick vacation, maybe a trip to the woods. I encourage
such a trip, or making plans for just that sort of thing. I just
want to ask one favor: make this little escape count. (Even if it
is just a quick escape to a local park) I want you to open yourself
up to new possibilities. I want you to dedicate this time to a new
understanding of how you assert what you need in social
circumstances, directly and honestly. Its about meditating on full
disclosure with yourself so that you can fully disclose with others.
Libra
This may
well be a week of low energy levels accompanied by emotional distance
and a touch of cynicism, made all the more painful because of a
streak of emotional idealism that is running through you. The best
answer to all of this, is throw away convention! This is a week to
throw caution to the wind and grab on to new experimental ways of
conducting your life! This is especially true of your love life and
what you see as your professional craft. Its time to spice things
up, try something new, and if it doesn't work try something else.
This is a good week to remember that classic mantra, “this too
shall pass.” Not necessarily because it is the worst time ever,
(although it will aid in the painful bits) but just because the
excitement of embracing change will bring the light you need to
balance some very serious energy!
Scorpio
It may be
easy to be misanthropic and cynical right now. This is
particularly difficult because this is paired with a distinct streak of romanticism rising in your blood and an emotional point of
view that is more interested in tallying a score sheet of wins and
losses than experiencing the moment. It is times like this that we
turn to the power of forgiveness. Forgiveness is not a gift we give
others but one we give ourselves. We must actively choose to
forgive, we must actively choose to live without bitterness or else
the very power of that bitterness will starve our souls and keep away
the very things that can prove that cynicism wrong! Sometimes it is
more important to survive, more important to enjoy the life you are
given than to hold onto past facts. Scorpio, this is a time to
embrace the unknowable good because only with that can any of us
overcome the list of sorrows that have past.
Sagittarius
The dream of
adventure seems perpetually thwarted by the momentary reality of
mundane needs. The drudgery can feel a bit much, and lets face it, February can be a bit dreary for many of us no matter the weather
specifics. Truly, Sagittarius the best solution to all this is to
find some adventure where you are. It is a time to try on a new
wardrobe of identity. It is time to try playing new roles in your
life. If you are always the outgoing one? Try playing the one who
follows- just to see what its like. Do you usually go off the cuff?
Try planning something. The point is not to change who you are, but
to try on a new skin for a bit. Besides, who knows something might
stick... and if not it will reveal valuable information and a new
point of view!
Capricorn
Caution is your
motto, and your instincts are perfect. From a slow painful attention
to detail and hard work you can build all of the recognition you
crave. This is nothing if not a time to flex your strategic long
term muscle. Keep your cards close to the chest... but then again,
what else would I expect?
Aquarius
You may find
yourself strangely romantic. You may also find yourself discouraged
by what feels like a lack of vision in those around you. Look for
new exciting experiences in venues of people in which you don't
really know anyone. Enjoy the excitement of the greater marketplace,
both to take in the wares and to people watch. You will find
surprisingly personal pleasure by getting out of your personal world!
Pisces
This is a
week to find self empowerment through taking decadent care of
yourself in simple mundane ways. This is a week for soul searching,
but only from the vantage point of a hot tub, and a pedicure and/or a
mud-mask. This week, oh Pisces, is in fact about very deep and even difficult emotional issues. But I urge you to consider finding the best
in self love and creature comforts with which to confront these
shadows! Remember what you knew as a small child: there is no fear
that cannot be overtaken by a teddy bear and a favorite blanket!
