Pluto: Dark Deals, Personal Power

This is the first installment in a series looking in depth at the outer planets all playing significant roles in challenging aspects over this summer. This series is not intended to justify difficulties but to give insight in putting these often challenging issues to work for greater fulfillment and a happier life.

I will face my fear of uncertainty, claim my power and live a life of honest deliberate conscientiousness in the service of freedom fulfillment and love.
Recently Pluto was “downgraded” in Astronomical terms to the status of dwarf planet. To astrology this has no real particular relevance. Astrologers read a number of bodies that have never been deemed planets.
The nature of Pluto is one that enjoys a certain amount of obscurity. Pluto is all about dark dealings and espionage. Indeed Pluto's realm is about a very particular type of Power. Pluto's power can be devastating, not because Pluto is as particularly powerful as he can seem, but because his is the power of the underworld. The power over the things we bury, the secrets we hide. He is the master of the things we trade that we should not, and the things we presume to trade them for that we have no right to. Put simply, in many ways the power of Pluto resembles the classic story of the deal with the devil.
When we keep a secret out of fear, Pluto smiles. When the con-artist wields his craft, when the child molester instills fear in his victim, Pluto is there. When the otherwise good-of-heart citizen turns an eye away from torture or human rights violations to protect his presumed security it is the purview of Pluto

But ya see, Pluto has a secret. All the Power that he wields, is yours. If we refuse to be afraid, if we refuse to be silent, turn away or keep quiet, Pluto falls. Pluto exists, as all vibrations in the universe are good, to force us to face our shadows, to claim our power. Indeed Pluto when faced rather than the dark torturor becomes the surgeon. When we feel this manipulation, this fear, and face it, and refuse to give up our power, we heal, not just ourselves but the world. We Pass through the underworld as did sun gods of Old myth and rise to fill the world with light.

Sounds good doesn't it? Easier said than done? Yes and yes. Pluto is not always as big and grand seeming as a dictator or a child molester. He in fact generally relishes most to start slowly, and in a creep, taking more as he goes. But the answer to Pluto is always clear, and it is being honest with yourself, refusing to make deals relinquishing your own power, and refusing to believe you can gain security by making deals for the free wills of others. In Plutonian terms, personal empowerment can only be achieved by absolute honesty and the strength to face uncertainty without abridging free will. Not for the self or for others.

When we can say loudly and honestly that we deserve love, joy and good things honestly and directly without scheming, when we embrace that we deserve the light of day on our faces, we claim our Plutonian power and suffer from its scheming no more.  This is the road of our healing and a deep embrace of our eternal natures.

Remember when we play the Plutonian game we are saying to the universe that we are unworthy of of love and good things, and thus must scheme and get them in a clandestine way, or that we are not worthy to have the light of day. This is damaging and never true. Claim and love your identity!
