This presents an environment in which our entire being seems to focus on a sense of balance and fairness, and what we absolutely need at the end of the day.
In addition to this we add the longer lasting perpetually ongoing Pluto, Uranus Square. Uranus representing the march forward of egalitarian equality and the idealistic notions of reform, revolution and progress, the coming of the future. Uranus is in Aries, and that means a radical demanding moment, a time when the future he looms demanding that we move forward. This activates Uranus in its reputation for tumultuous times.
Uranus in this case is retrograde which indicates a turn inward. What does that mean? It is a time to question what we mean by equality, what we mean by the future. It is a time to look deeply into our collective hearts and souls and ask what idealism, equality, equity and progress should look like.
While this is going on its squaring Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto is about the power we give away, the ways we make dark deals, the way we refuse to own responsibility and allow ourselves to play the parts of victim and victimizer, to both the detriment of ourselves and anyone playing with us. Pluto in our era is illuminating the issues of Capricorn, which rules over the Patriarch, Commerce, and the law. And right now we are especially focused as the sun, In Libra, our sense of identity in a mood of wanting balance and finding consensus and negotiating equality and the needs of all. We also find the sun opposing that Uranus, which means that idealism, and identity are also coming to grips with each other. A desire for pragmatism, as well as true equality, negotiation, and to simply have a transparency and honest look at how we use our power, and how we give it away.
In the end its about integrity. In the end its about making sure that we all get what we need to begin with. It is a long road but the only one left. It begins with honesty, integrity and a commitment to dialog, married to a refusal to back down. In the end it is frightening at times, miraculous at others, and confusing almost always. But in truth it is the only thing we ever had. The rest is illusion.
In 1649
To St. George’s Hill,
A ragged band they called the Diggers
Came to show the people’s will
They defied the landlords
They defied the laws
They were the dispossessed reclaiming what was theirs
We come in peace they said
To dig and sow
We come to work the lands in common
And to make the waste ground grow
This earth divided
We will make whole
So it will be
A common treasury for all
The sin of property
We do disdain
No man has any right to buy and sell
The earth for private gain
By theft and murder
They took the land
Now everywhere the walls
Spring up at their command
They make the laws
To chain us well
The clergy dazzle us with heaven
Or they damn us into hell
We will not worship
The God they serve
The God of greed who feed the rich
While poor folk starve
We work we eat together
We need no swords
We will not bow to the masters
Or pay rent to the lords
Still we are free
Though we are poor
You Diggers all stand up for glory
Stand up now
From the men of property
The orders came
They sent the hired men and troopers
To wipe out the Diggers’ claim
Tear down their cottages
Destroy their corn
They were dispersed
But still the vision lingers on
You poor take courage
You rich take care
This earth was made a common treasury
For everyone to share
All things in common
All people one
We come in peace
The orders came to cut them down
The World Turned Upside Down
