As the standard pop material culture has left so many of us feeling something missing, we turn toward mysticism to find more. Often the answers may seem to come from other cultures more in tune with the earth and a mystical bent.
While respect for other cultures can be a good thing, the adoption of pieces of other cultures without a deep personal understanding is at best insensitive. It is my wish to show that underneath western culture is a separate mystical tradition, indigenous, deep, earth-centered ancient and accessible.
Covered over by hundreds of years of domination, it is finally a time when we may publicly re-embrace the Western Mystical traditions. Astrology is one key piece of this great cultural wealth.
Ironically some of these traditions owe part of their history to traditions out of Persia, the Middle East and Africa (including Kemet-Egypt). When this is the case I will sometimes use those sources to broaden the understanding of the subject.
Rebel Astrology is a point of view grounded in a mystical personal experience. Seeking to broaden the experience of each individual, and strengthen their personal growth, rather than simply using astrology to define who they are. When we can understand our connection to spirit and know what we want, we can start the process of manifesting it. As we recognize our own transforming power we transform the world around us, and indeed ask more of the world around us.
This is a road that begins with personal spiritual journey and continues into our relationships and builds a world out of our expectations, and empowers individuals to know and ask of the world what all people deserve.
It begins and ends with the Spirit and the Earth.
