Saturn Returns: Late 20's? Nervous? No Worries, You Are Exactly Where You Need To Be!

For more On Saturn
So your rounding out toward 30 and maybe your feeling insecure, maybe nervous? Feeling a lack of direction or that you just haven't really done enough? Don't worry the people who have made major life changes in and around your age include such notable figures as Jesus and The Buddha. Your not a screw-up, your just encountering your (drum-roll) Saturn Return.

A planetary return occurs when the planet in the sky returns to where it was on the day you were born. (with the exception of the Lunar return which occurs when the moon in the progressed chart makes its way back to where it was on the date of birth) Saturn makes its return in approximately 28 years after the individuals birth.
When a planet makes a return, it is a strong opportunity to reevaluate our position in life, and past history in terms of the energy that said planet represents. In terms of Saturn this usually may engender feelings of needing to get “down to work” or more serious.
Often it may trigger feelings of not enough, isolation, and the need to achieve. These feelings need not be overwhelming. The key here is to allow these feelings to remain objective, and not allow oneself to fall into some feeling that everything must occur now.
Remember part of the message of Saturn is constant effort. Constant effort need not feel like “work” and in fact when it does it is rarely successful. One of the tricks to this situation is to examine what we enjoy doing, and try to find ways in which we can enjoyably spend time both improving in those ways as well as looking at those items as our goals.
The pit-fall too many people fall into is subconsciously (or sometimes consciously) allowing society and other people to tell us what our life is about, and what we need to be happy. When taken positively, the Saturn return is the great opportunity to own our own lives. We may now define our goals and our life-work (which in some ways is the meaning of our lives) on our own terms.
When you feel yourself uncomfortable with your life I would ask you to keep in mind the following things:
1: There is no such thing as wasted time, if I can look back on it and learn about I what I want      from it.
2: The only things I need from life are the only things I want from life.
3: If I am unhappy all I need to do is the things that make me happy.
Then I want you to ask yourself:
  1. What is the theme of my life as I WANT it to be?
  2. What can I do right now, even if it seems very small, to make a small success in that direction, even if if is just a change in what I am thinking.
Remember there is never a moment when success on some level is not immediately available. Small successes lead to big successes. Measure your success in small increments, because the goal is always progress, not destination.
If your going through a Saturn return, chin up, you got this one!
and let me leave you with a special affirmation:

I am following what I love, enjoying the way and accomplishing what I desire, little by little every moment and every day.
